Job Description
We're looking for a Gameplay Programmer to help develop our Narrative Pro Gameplay Framework. We take making games seriously and are looking for someone who wants to write the best features and hold themselves and their code to a high standard.
You will need:
Strong knowledge of Unreal Engines gameplay framework - you need to comfortably be able to explain the general UE gameplay framework, from Game Modes, to Player States, to how the replication system works.
Knowledge of Gameplay Ability System, knowledge of other systems such as CommonUI also preferred.
Strong debugging skills - you need to comfortably be able to debug not just your own code, but be able to step through engine code and see what Unreal is doing under the hood.
The ability to write concise, simple code - we do not celebnate complexity! We want developers that can keep their features and code simple.
The ability to architect and design features. We're not looking for ninjas that can cowboy up any feature, we're looking for programmers that understand that good features require careful design and planning first. Could that be you?
Basic knowledge of Perforce and Jira preferred.
